Interactive Activity : Defining Youth Work

What does Youth Work mean to you?

Did you know there’s no single, universal definition of youth work?

Youth work can look very different depending on who you ask, where you’re located, and the context in which it’s practiced. 🌍💬

Whether you’re a practitioner, a young person who’s benefited from youth work, or someone just starting out, we want to hear from YOU. Our shared perspectives are important to continue to shape and evaluate our positionality and understanding.

👉 Here are a few questions to consider as you share your thoughts:

1. In your own words, what is youth work?

2. What are the core values or principles that you believe define it?

3. How does youth work impact young people and communities?

Let’s use this space to learn from each other, challenge our perspectives, and see how diverse and powerful the world of youth work truly is. 💪✨

👇 Drop your thoughts in the comments below! Don’t be afraid to get into discussion with others, it is a good way to enquire on our own approach — every voice adds something unique to the conversation.
